Are You Ready To Stop Sabotaging Your Own Success?

Have you ever stumbled upon something that you are passionate about? Maybe it was a fantastic idea, but immediately your inner critic took over and you then proceed to come up with over five hundred reasons why it won't work? If you are guilty of that, then my next question is, why are you sabotaging your own success before it even takes off? Take a look at your life. Are you happy with where you are in your life? Do you want something more for your life? Okay, what are you doing to move your life from where it is to where you desire?
May be you are thinking that someone like you will never make it. You feel that the good life is for others, just not for you. Or you may believe that you are way too busy living in the real world, so you do not have time for fantasies. How right and wrong you are. If you have stopped dreaming, stopped having fantasies, then no wonder your life is not moving from where it is and no wonder you feel that the life you are living is all there is. Hear this and hear this good - You can create the life you desire and just like anyone else you too are deserving of the good life. The trick is, yes, you have to do some work.
Many of us have gotten so beaten down by life that we have basically given up on our dreams, our desires and our passions. Once we allow life to make us throw in the towel, then that is the end to any external success we may have the potential to attain. It is in the tough times that we need to hold on to our dreams, desires and our passions. When we stop dreaming, then life will be able to drain us of our energy, our inner drive. That is when we will start to feel burnt-out, tired, depressed, our shoulders start to drop and we just give up on life. Life is what you make it, but to make it, we need to be present in our life, front and center. If we are to attain any kind of external success in our life, we cannot afford to give up on our life. There is more to life.
Pick up your dreams, reignite your passions. You too can live a passionate life, but in order to do that, you first need to change your thinking. You cannot change your present life with the same thinking that got you into that life in the first place. Do not try to force yourself to go it alone. Seek out others who are living the kind of life that you desire. They do not have to be rich and wading in oodles of money. Seek out those who are living a peaceful life, an abundantly wealthy life and soak up their energy. The same energy that draws you to someone you are romantically attracted to you that is the energy you need to tap into so that you will be drawn to those who emulate the life you desire. Do not be afraid of asking them how they got to live the life they are living or how are they able to maneuver life's challenges.
Success does not necessarily have to have a monetary value. Of course, it all comes down to what kind of success you desire for your life. Overall, whatever you desire in your life, you need to surround yourself with the people who embody what you desire. If you are not, you will find your energy being depleted; you are struggling to hold on to life, until you find yourself feeling empty. Fill yourself up on what you need for your life. If you were hungry, then you know that you need to find something filling to eat. If you are thirsty, then you need to drink something refreshing.
The same thing applies to your life. If you find that your life is feeling empty and depleted, then you need to find whatever it is that will help you to fill that emptiness inside of you. That does not mean that you should overeat, over drink and fill that emptiness with things that will only make your health worse. Seek out things that are fulfilling and substantial. Just as how you can't fully operate on an empty stomach, your life cannot fully operate on an empty feeling inside.
Your life is screaming out for something more. Start taking steps to feed your life with things that are healthy and will build you up internally. Yes, it takes substantial work for your life to begin turning in the direction of your North Star. You also need to be willing to do that work. Living your life fully is not for the faint-hearted. You need to show up every day to and for your life. The days that you feel out of it, rest. Do not force your life. Quietly remove yourself from the chaos of the outside world, find a quiet place where you can respectfully listen to your internal voice.
Allow your life to guide you in the direction that it needs to go. Declutter your space, declutter your mind. As you declutter your mental and emotional self, you will be able to better hear the messages of your Soul. You may not believe this, but you have everything inside of you that you need to move your life in the direction that you desire.

You have everything you need inside of you to lead your life to the inner and external success you desire. If you were to start believing that you are already a success internally, then you will be able to start believing in yourself more and thus stop sabotaging your own success. Whatever you desire, it can be yours. Are you ready to start taking the steps required to get you from where you are to where you desire to be? Remember, your life can move only to the degree that you are willing to move.

Essential Steps for Success in Life

Each person has unique talents and potential to live a life filled with purpose and abundance. Nevertheless, very often we don't even try to look for our strengths throughout our whole existence. But the significant truth is that it's never late to make changes happen, it's never late to look at each circumstance from a brighter perspective. We are the captains of our wonderful journeys in life. Opportunities are all around us. We only have to seize them and be open for accepting the amazing gifts of life.
The steps below will help you go forward to your greatest dreams and feel the glory of true success.
Purpose is your guiding star in life
Find your mission in life. Reveal that unique sense of purpose within you, which will make you get up each morning with motivation and enthusiasm. Think about what are your inner values and aspirations, what are the things you are truly passionate about. Then start doing it. That is when you will suddenly feel the warm light shining within you. That is when you will experience the empowerment you were always searching for. When making decisions, think about whether they are in accordance with your beliefs and values. This is the key to inner harmony.
Miracles happen right outside the comfort zone
Sometimes we hesitate stepping out of our comfort zone, but the truth is that the significant miracles start to happen right outside it.
As soon as you have the courage to discover new horizons, you will see that challenges are a part of the wonderful journey of life, which is filled with value and happiness. Don't be afraid. Say yes to new chances, say yes to new peaks of mountains. You will see that you have incredible abilities you haven't even wondered about. You will see that so many things you thought were impossible will become your achievements as soon as you do one extra step forward. You are the one who shapes your reality. Make sure that it's full of adventures and excitement.
There is no such thing as failure- only opportunities and lessons learned
Remember, the fear exists only in your mind. You can transform the fear into determination and aspiration for excellence. The only thing required from you is that bold decision to do so. Obstacles are opportunities to grow and excel your own expectations. Nothing is impossible, if you have a strong desire, faith and persistence.
Don't be afraid of failing. Be afraid of never doing anything valuable in your life. You were born to try until it's done. Not everything in life is achieved easily. But your greatest goals are worth your hard work and persistence. Fight for your dreams and you will succeed. There is no other way.
Each choice opens a new door in life

You have the right to choose your reality. But you have to take full responsibility for creating your life. Don't depend on circumstances and opinion of others. Pursue your deepest desires and make choices based on your inner motives and values. You fully deserve to have prosperity, harmony and joy in life. Make the choice of feeding the positive thoughts in your mind. Make the choice of accepting the wonderful gifts of the universe. Make the choice of succeeding. Make the choice of being brilliant!

Six Self Help Tips To Achieve Maximum Success In Life

The every day competition to win over others has developed a kind of self-centric attitude in every individual. But in this race, man has forgotten that he needs to win himself before conquering the world. The more mankind is heading towards modernization, the more it is being entangled with problems. In such circumstances, peace of mind is the only thing that one should aspire for from all his efforts. But, where can you get peace? Is there an easy way out to restore mental calmness, self satisfaction and success in life?
These questions have puzzled many people and prompted them to find their peace of mind in religious options, psychological treatment therapies or alcohols. What Does Your Dream Life Look Like?

Every child has been asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. And more often than not, they had responded with "doctor," or "lawyer," or "movie star." It would always be some stereotype of success. It would always be something that was prevalent in both school books and popular media. Did you describe your dream life the same way when you were young? Don't be ashamed if you have; it's not your fault this information has been drilled into you from the start.
However, this doesn't mean that you should conform to such ideals. So what if that's what your parents or teachers wanted of you? Is that really what you want for yourself? You have your own unique perspective on life and the world you live in. The best life you could possibly live, then, is something you conjured up in your own mind. What do other people have to do with it?
So, ask yourself: what really is your dream life anyway? What does it look like? Chances are, it incorporates the elements of life you personally enjoy the most. It is a life that you maintain entirely on your own terms, one that you have complete control over. It is the kind of existence where your success depends on doing the things you love, and nothing else.
Still stumped? Think long and hard. If you had the chance to do only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be? Forget your current obligations. Don't take your job, finances, or family into consideration. Whatever that thing is, be it cooking haute cuisine or building houses by hand, that is your dream life. That is what you should be pursuing.
Do you really want to waste away your precious time on Earth with your crappy job? When you feel that you should be doing something other than what you're doing now, then why don't you do it? There is no reason for you to stunt your growth as a person. There is no reason for you to stick to lame excuses. You know they're lame to begin with!
A man who slaves away day and night for a job he hates but still takes home millions of dollars is not a success. A man who makes the same income with a career he loves is the true success. By pursuing your dream life, you can be the latter man.
What's stopping you, then? Now that you know what your true goals are, you should go out there and fulfill them. Now that you have a better understanding of what your priorities should be, then the next step should be to avoid procrastination. The best life is an active life. There is no fairy godmother out there who can help you kick things off. In fact, you are your very own fairy godmother, and you have all the power in the world to make your wish come true. No matter the situation, you can only earn true success if you were responsible for your actions from the very beginning.

Do You Treat Others Better Than You Do Yourself?

As we start a new year, I have a couple of questions for you. What lessons did you learn during the past year that you are going to bring with you into 2013? What experiences did you have that helped you to find out something new about yourself? You do know that as long as you allow yourself to remember that you "experience" your life and make what you believe is the best possible choice in any given circumstance you are being the best you can be.
It is not unusual when clients work with me for them to chastise themselves when they do not do something up to their expectations. They will point out to me that they know better, or that they did not follow what they may have learned from previous sessions that we spent together. I'll explain to them, that is not a problem. Learning and applying new behaviors, even when aware of them, is not always easy to do. In fact, being aware and taking accountability that they had a choice in a situation and made one which was not in line with what they wanted to experience, is a sign of moving forward. They are acknowledging accountability for their actions.
I remember one of the quotes which had the most impact from my coach training that stays with me to this day goes as follows: "If we treated our friends like we treat ourselves, we'd all go to jail." Give these words some thought. Think about the last time you either did something or had something happen to you with which you were not pleased. How did you react to the situation? Were you more critical of what happened than those around you? Did you let the experience put you at a point where you felt it was useless to try to move forward, or that you would never be able to succeed at what you were trying to achieve?
Let 2013 be the year that you realize that the things that don't go according to plan in your life are not mistakes. Instead realize that each situation is a learning experience. If the decisions you make are coming from your mind, your heart, or both they are just choices based on your past, your values and the belief systems that have been part of your life up to that point of time. As one is constantly open to learning, their belief systems can evolve. Your values may change, or they may not, but if you are making your decisions from perspectives that work best for you, and you are not hurting others in the process, then you are doing at that point in time what you believe is best for all concerned.
While one can choose to change their views and approaches to their life at any time, a new year often sets us up with a mindset that makes us more receptive to such a change. Use some of that compassion that you may use toward others toward yourself in 2013. It will help you through the obstacles that will likely occur as you move forward toward achieving your goals in the coming year. It certainly is better than treating yourself "as if you were a criminal."

How to Make New Year Resolutions That Work

The most important investments require time. Setting and achieving a resolution requires focus, effort, and commitment. Changing old habits and developing new ones won't happen overnight. The following four guidelines are meant to help you achieve all of your New Years Resolutions:
1. Focus on one resolution at a time: Divide and conquer the activities to achieve your desired results. Break larger tasks into smaller ones - each of these make up your Personal Resolution Road map, a path to achieve your goal.
2. Create a sense of accountability: Designate a friend, mentor, or companion for sharing successes, monitoring progress, and offering support. The benefit of involving others in your goals and plans is instant access to experience, knowledge, and wisdom-it also raises the bar of responsibility.
Research indicates that one of the qualities of those who are successful at making changes is that they have excellent support systems. Many of those who make resolutions never tell others about them. Consciously or subconsciously, that way if they fail no one will view them as a failure.
Communicating your resolution and intentions actually increases your accountability to the behavior. From the very beginning it is important to share your objectives and goals with those around you so that you can enlist their support. Knowing that you are accountable to someone other than yourself will help to keep you on track.
3. Persist until completed: A resolution achieved is a stunning example of consistency and hard work. If you fall behind schedule or are sidetracked for any reason, refocus! Just don't give up! Don't surrender to temptation, difficulty or temporary failure. Persist until you achieve the goal.
4. Cultivate personal integrity: Integrity gives you the oxygen needed to cross the finish line of accomplishment. Your commitment determines your level of success. This commitment boils down to two essential tactics: daily action and review.
Resolution Beginnings
The nuts and bolts of achieving any resolution are invariably the same. Neither the size of the resolutions nor the person achieving it matters. Successful New Year's Resolutions consist of the following:
Clear Purpose - For a dream to become a goal, it must be specific. Being thin is an image, losing 10 pounds by March 1 is a true resolution. Be clear on what you want to achieve.
Make a New Years Resolution that you have a real, bona fide intention of keeping. The truth is most people have not made a genuine, serious, no-kidding around- I-really-mean-to-do-this New Years Resolution!
In Writing - Describe precisely what you want, how you will earn it, when you will have it, and the benefits you'll receive from achieving your resolution. Write the details, but don't make it complex. When you put it in writing, you increase your chances of moving to the next step and increasing your level of commitment.
Your mind, while blessed with permanent memory, is cursed with lousy recall. Writing your resolution goes a long way towards achieving it.
Commitment - Without commitment, you can say, "Farewell dream. Adios potential. Toodleloo success. Hello Mediocrity!" Your resolution will find a more deserving soul: someone with courage, character, conviction... commitment.
Commitment is not only habitual but also essential - it moves you ever closer to your resolution and ultimate success. Commitment is the heartbeat of your goal.
Accountability Counts - commitment means you own it. You are responsible for taking the resolution that's on paper and turning it into a desired outcome. Owning it means tasking responsibility for changes, risks, failures, and successes.
Creating Your Resolution List
Write down your list of New Year's Resolutions. Get them all out of your head and down on paper.

Focus, Focus, Focus!
Does one resolution stand out? One that you are ready to go after. Focus on this one; you can replicate the process later.
My #1 Resolution is:

Resolution Validation
Next, validate your chosen resolution's importance. For each question below, ask yourself if you're getting a green - go, yellow - caution, or red - stop signal.
If a caution or stop signal pops into your head, stop to ask why. It might mean that this resolution isn't the right one to be focusing on. The validation test will keep you motivated as you continue on your resolution road trip.
If the validation questions show you that this is the wrong resolution for now, start over. Return to your original list, and work through the process once again. It is wiser to focus on the right resolution than to start one you're not committed to.
Write down what comes to mind as you read through each question. These notes will serve as a motivational tool for you when you are in the middle of your resolution plan.
Is This Resolution Part of My Personal Mission?

Positive Affirmations, A Simple Guide

Affirmations have been around since man found the use of language and there is no secret ritual to use them. There is nothing mystic about affirmations. This tool, if used correctly, can radically change your life.

Here are the very basics elements of positive affirmations, positive thinking, and a simple guide on how to use them. There are thousands of books and ebooks on the subject of the power of affirmations and some of them are very good. Which one is best for you, I’ll let you decide. If you check the Internet under Positive Affirmations you’ll find a multitude of books and sites to help you.

How do they work? What changes can I expect?
Do you know anything about positive thinking, positive affirmations, or the Law of Attraction? Do you know AND believe that our thoughts and our actions create the living experiences we call life?

The benefits of positive affirmations are medically recognized and it really works. It will help you advance, grow, and heal yourself. Positive Affirmations support your positive thinking and together they form a very powerful and effective tool. They function as ˜key words” of positive messages ˜dictated” directly into the inner self. You are consciously connecting and directing your positive thinking to areas of your life that you want to change or heal. It works as a reminder to the self to keep positive messages at the forefront of consciousness. Affirmations can and will transform your life patterns and perception. When your interpretation of your own experiences change, so does your reality. On the other hand negative thoughts are just as powerful. So be aware of your negative thoughts. They are in essence, self-destructive ˜key words”, a psychological mechanisms that make your life rotten.

First, let's check how aware you are of your thoughts. Do you regularly have more positive or more negative thoughts running through you mind? Meditate on that for a few minutes. Only you can honestly answer it. So get ready and real.

Your mind incessantly interprets your experiences as an internal dialogue. These thoughts are generated on a deep level by your beliefs, which were formed and accumulated from the time you were born. We always interpret our experiences either positively or negatively. That is how we create our own reality! We can’t control most exterior events of our lives but we do control how we interpret and react to them. When we change our interpretation a change takes place in our reality. So, become very aware of your thoughts! If you change your thinking, big changes will happen in your life.

Take a minute to think about why you are reacting to something or someone in your life. Get in touch with your inner self and ask why do you feel this way about the subject in question.. Is it a positive experience? If not, accept the fact that these thoughts may have helped you in the past but they are out of place now that you have chosen to accept only positive thoughts and positive living. You are now changing your perception of that situation or person. While doing the new affirmations your mind will let go of these negative messages even if you are not aware if it.
Watch out also for a resistance within yourself. With certain affirmations, for example, “I am a good person and I am happy”, you may get a quick answer: “No, I’m not.” or “Are you kidding?”  This is your negative perception of that experience. It is ok, it is an old habit that is about to be changed. You grew up with these thoughts for almost all of your life. Now it is time to form a new habit and you need lots of practice. Just remember, you didn’t become this way overnight.

Let's get started! As you wake up, say your affirmations out loud or in your head five times. Relax your body, let go of any emotional or mental tension while doing your affirmations. The greatest the concentration and feelings you put into the act, the stronger and faster you’ll get the results. Repeat the same process several times during the day and the last time just before going to bed. I suggest you end the affirmations session with a thank you note. Gratitude will reinforce and validate the affirmations. Thanks God, Jesus, Spirit, the Force, the Universe or whatever you believe and feel comfortable with. Visualize your affirmations with feelings and emotion. See yourself exactly as the affirmation you are stating. It will reinforce the affirmation you are making and add an extra psychological dimension with a much deeper impact on your mind. Using this method of visualization early in the morning and at night will make your affirmations much more successful.
For beginners the easiest way is to choose and write down one or two things you want changed. For example, if you feel unloved and financially strapped, one of your affirmations could be: “ I am now ready to receive more love and wealth” and you may add “from the vast supply of the universe”. If you also wrote down “low self-esteem” the affirmation could be: “I am an awesome man/woman and I feel good about myself”.
Be creative, upfront, and fearless. You are making a statement to yourself of your intentions.
You can use affirmations to help build self-confidence, self-esteem, self-improvement and personal growth. It will also help conquer your fears and anger management. Affirmations have been successfully used to relieve anxiety and depression and are an excellent tool for weight control.

Use these simple guidelines below to create your own affirmation:

1-  Present tense.Start all your affirmations in the present tense and have them already accomplished. You are telling your conscious mind that the action is taking place NOW and it is final. You are affirming, now, today “I AM HAPPY, I CHOOSE JOY, I HAVE CONFIDENCE instead of “I will be happy,” or “I am becoming happy,” and so on. “I ACCEPT, I CHOOSE, I DESERVE, I AM,” in the present tense, is much stronger and much more powerful.

2-  How to phrase your affirmations. You can copy from an extensive list you’ll find on the Internet, use the examples below, or simply write it down in your own words. Do it as plainly or as poetically as you speak. “ I am energetic and full of enthusiasm.” Or “I am safe, I am a prosperous man/woman.” Make copies of it and leave it around the house, your car and your office desk. The more you are reminded of the positive affirmations the more your mind will accept the new concept you are bringing forth. You will create a new positive reality and the universal energy, the Law of Attraction, will connect this good energy to other positive energies.

3-  Positive means Positive. Don’t use affirmations that have a negative attachment.Your subconscious usually focuses on the verb and assimilates it to past experiences. If you have fears, phobias or whatever, be careful with your choice of words! If you are afraid and say “I am not SCARED”, it will register “I AM SCARED”. The NOT was absorbed and ignored by your mind. Say instead “I AM COURAGEOUS” or “I AM FEARLESS”.

Here are a few examples of affirmations by topics:

Love.
”I am ready to love and to be loved”"I am surrounded by love""I love and accept myself exactly as I am"
"The love I give out returns to me multiplied"
"I am a loving, beautiful creative person and this is reflected in my relationships with others"
” I am now ready to receive more love, support and wealth from the vast supply of the universe””I see the beauty in my surroundings and I radiate joy and love”

Wealth.
"I deserve all that is good and prosperous in my life"
"Money flows to me from expected and unexpected sources"
”I deserve to collect all the wealth and the rich rewards of my success”"My income is constantly increasing"
”I am well, I prosper, I am successful and I am free”"Abundance, like a river flows in my life"”I allow all the immense wealth and goodness of the universe to easily flow into myself”

Self-esteem ”” personal.
”I now have the power to bring about all the positive changes in my life I desire””I am protected, guided, and connected with the highest good at all times””My personality is radiant with success, beauty and happiness””I am an awesome man/woman and I feel good about myself””I am at peace with my choices and what life throws in my path””I recognize and honor my talents, abilities, and skills””I choose to live my life the way that makes me happy””I am positively changing my life now, for the better in every possible way. Have a great journey
