Harness the Power of Subliminal Messaging

Scientific studies have proven that the human mind consists of two regions:
The conscious and the unconscious. The conscious mind plays the "active
part" which directs our actions, reasons out and accountable for the majority of
our activities throughout the waking hours. The unconscious (also called
subconscious) which "sits at the back," is the passive, unquestioning part
which controls our involuntary functions and in-charge of the more subtle
creative faculties of the mind.
Psychologists believe that any person can create lasting improvements in
oneself by accessing the power of the unconscious. However, this is not as
simple as it sounds. Most individuals have no indication how to even get in
touch with the unconscious, how much more for effecting improvements? This
is where subliminal messaging becomes exceedingly helpful and necessary.
The term "subliminal" is derived from the Latin words "sub" (below) and "limen"
(threshold), which basically means "below the threshold of consciousness." It
refers to anything that exists just beneath your conscious awareness (i.e. at the
unconscious level).
By using subliminal recordings you can bypass the conscious mind and
reprogram your inner self through the use of carefully crafted subliminal
messages. These messages can be created for a great many things like
reducing stress and inducing relaxation. Some of the best I have personally
known include:
- Leadership excellence
- Creative thinking mindset
- Perfect lucid dreaming
- Supreme self-confidence
- Razor-sharp wit
- Amazing memory
- Be decisive and get what you want
- Amazing public speaking skills
- Excellent speed reading
- Lose weight quickly, and others!
In these recordings, messages are planted using special technology, which
intends to communicate directly to the unconscious mind. These subliminal
messages bypass the critical-conscious realm and goes straight to the
unquestioning-subconscious, immediately starting to create desired changes.
How Exactly Do They Work?
Subliminal programs contain positive affirmations (subliminal messages)
focused on particular areas chosen by the listener, to accomplish a specific
aim. The mind "accepts" these affirmations without question, at the
subconscious level, immediately beginning the work of transforming the
messages into actuality in the person's life.
Since they bypass the analytical critical-conscious mind, these subliminal
messages facilitate the process of changing attitudes, skills and habits and
start to reprogram the whole being towards achieving a particular goal.
Subliminal messages are generally embedded in a piece of music or masked
with ocean waves and sounds of nature which are very soothing to the body
and spirit. These are called "positive affirmations" which influence individual
beliefs that are stored in the subconscious mind. They gradually and gently
replace limiting beliefs by new empowering ones. It is an automatic and
effortless method of changing yourself from the inside-out.
How Long Does It Take for Change To Happen?
You must be aware that most of your subconscious programming has taken
place over an entire lifetime and may not be altered in a few hours or days. It is
also likely that several issues overlap and require more than one subliminal
recording to reprogram.
Let's take the issue of self confidence as an illustration. Somebody who has
low self-esteem may listen to a subliminal recording to improve in this area.
Several weeks later, there seems to be little or no improvement despite the
effort. It would be easy to conclude that "subliminals don't work" and give up.
While subliminal programming is highly effective, there are factors to be
considered to ensure success. Some of the basics are outlined below:
- Embedded messages. Since it is almost impossible to determine the
messages used, it is always prudent to ask the source to give you a copy of the
script. In our sample case, the user needs to ensure that the subliminal
recording employs self-esteem affirmations targeting this area of concern.
- Requirements. Some subliminals are best listened to using headphones,
while others can be played just like ordinary music. This technicality must be
explicitly defined when you acquire your copy, otherwise you may be unable to
maximize the true potential of this wonderful tool.
- Frequency and duration. This should come with the instructions on how to use
the recording to achieve desired results. Once you know the details, you can
begin to determine your progress and adjust accordingly.
Reprogramming the subconscious takes time, and results are commonly
observed after about 21 - 28 days. As a rule of thumb, it is advisable to allocate
personal development tools at least a month before looking for real tangible
results.
The goal of subliminal programming is to effect transformation from within.
When this begins to occur, you may feel an unexplained discomfort or
uneasiness, a natural manifestation of resistance to change. It is a reliable sign
telling you that improvement is currently taking place. This period of adjustment
is important and becomes your defining moment of success or failure.
Like any other self improvement programs, you are presented with two roads to
take - the old familiar way, and the new unexplored path. If you hate discomfort
and stop doing it, you will find yourself back in your "old familiar way." This is the
deception of the "comfort zone" which is the cause of many failures. If you
resist and persist, you will soon discover the wonders of the "new unexplored
path." When you do, success can be yours!

NLP in Action - How To Create Super Motivation (Part Six)

By now I REALLY hope you are getting excited about the NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) techniques we have discussed in the first five articles of this series. This is truly powerful information that can help you create instant motivation to do any task or activity, no matter how badly you avoided it in the past.
To summarize, so we have learned how to transfer the positive, pleasurable emotions and feelings we have from one experience, and link it to another task or activity, which we have previously avoided or put off doing.
In most cases, this technique works very effectively and the links are created in less than half an hour. But occasionally, the target activity represents so much unpleasantness or pain in the mind of the individual, that massive amounts of pleasure must be associated with the pleasant experience in order to create the proper trigger.
So where do we find this massive pleasure? Sometimes, for whatever reason, a person I am working with, simply cannot call to mind an experience pleasurable enough to meet the need. When this happens, I usually use a method called "stacking."
Before I can explain stacking, let's recap how the NLP technique of creating triggers works:
  1. Create a visual image of yourself doing the target behavior that you normally avoid doing. Along with this visualization, create a trigger to associate with this action by doing something like pinching your right earlobe. Do this for a few minutes until you firmly associate pinching your right earlobe with this visual image of yourself studying.
  2. Now visualize yourself doing the thing you enjoy doing or an experience you have found intensely pleasurable. As you hold this image in your mind, create a second trigger by doing something like pinching your left earlobe. Do this for a few moments until pinching your left earlobe causes you to feel the pleasure you normally associate with this pleasurable activity or experience.
  3. Merge these two visual images together by pinching both earlobes at the same time. Allow the two images of your pleasurable activity and the activity you avoid to flash back and forth until they create a single impression. At this point, if the pleasurable image is sufficiently pleasurable, pinching both earlobes should create a pleasant feeling when you think about doing the task you formerly avoided.
So now we are back to our question of what to do if the pleasurable image is not sufficient to offset the unpleasant one? The answer is "stacking."
All that is needed is for you to pull more than one pleasurable experience from your memories and add them, one after the other, using the same trigger (we've been using the example of pinching your left earlobe, but it really can be any physical stimuli). Keep pinching your left earlobe (or whatever stimuli) with each pleasurable experience you visualize and they will soon stack up to create a stronger pleasure response than the negative associations you now have with the task you are avoiding.
Remember to use the same stimuli each time so that when you pinch your left earlobe, ALL of the pleasurable experiences flood your brain with associations at the same time. What will then happen is that you will be able to merge all of these experiences with the target activity you have been avoiding in the past, and you will be more than able to offset the negativity of that activity or task.
There is still much more to learn about establishing NLP motivational triggers. I hope you are now realizing how powerful these methods are and how they can help you to create instant motivation for yourself to do anything. Until you read the next article in this series, I hope you will give thought to what this technique alone can do to transform your life.
See you next time.

NLP - 8 Techniques To Overcome The Beliefs That Limit Your Ability And Gain Excellence In Your Task

By the time you read this NLP article completely, you will be amazed as there will not be any belief that would restrict your ability anymore. The NLP says that the beliefs that we hold give us both strength and empowerment. So, it becomes important to have the belief that can enhance your ability rather than restricting it.
NLP classifies the limiting beliefs into three categories as follows:
  • Desperation - Under this situation, the person thinks that he can never achieve his goal under any circumstances. He desperately tries to achieve his goal but fails because he works with half-heartedness.
  • Defenselessness - Under this, the person thinks that he can achieve his goal, but he rely more on luck and fate.
  • Worthlessness - Under this, the person think that he is unable to deserve to achieve the goal. He finds himself as incapable and not worth any thing.
To which category do you belong? NLP can surely help you to come out of the limiting belief. These are 8 NLP techniques that can help you overcome the belief that restricts your ability and gain excellence:
  1. Hold the belief that gives you strength and empowerment: Research has shown that the people who think they are unhealthy and suffering from any disease die early than the persons who are actually suffering from any diseases. NLP states that your thinking affects your both mentally and physically. Hold the belief that bears a positive impact on you.
  2. Ignore the beliefs that restrict your energy and confidence levels: When you tell your mind that you cannot do a particular thing or you are not capable of doing any thing, then you surely never do that thing. Such beliefs are restricting you to achieve any thing are called as the 'limiting beliefs' in NLP.
  3. Limiting belief can be the consequence of any significant experience in your life - come out of that experience with NLP: NLP sates that most of the beliefs that we hold are because of any kind of significant experience that you must have been through in your life. Once a boy was so focused on his target to hit the ball with his bat that he hurt his brother who was coming towards him. His parents scolded him. Since then he made up his mind that if he will go after his target he will hurt someone. This belief affected him badly in this adult life. Hence, the boy must have tried to overcome that bad experience and improved on it rather than allowing that experience to come with him all through his life. NLP calls this as framing the bad experience for well.
  4. Make yourself aware of the belief limits you: When you do not attempt to do any task or you fail in the task that you have done, the first thing that most of the people do is, they try to justify their failure rather than finding out the ways to improve them. This is most common attitude of people, proved by NLP. Instead of this, you must find out the reasons that are responsible for your failure.
Ask your self the following questions:
    a. Why is the goal unattainable for me?
    b. Why skills do I lack in to attain this?
    c. Why do I think that I do not deserve to achieve this goal?
  5. Work on your limiting beliefs: Once you uncover the beliefs that are restricting you, try to eliminate those beliefs that are not allowing you to achieve your goal. Work on limiting beliefs and try hard to make changes. NLP techniques mentioned below can help you to do that. The techniques of NLP tries to eliminate the gap between you and your restricting beliefs.
  6. Do not allow that belief take power over you: NLP advises you to work on your odd beliefs and get it out of your life as soon as possible before they gain power and superiority over you. Once they gain power over you, you will start losing your one or the other power or ability.
  7. Uncover the purpose of the belief: Ask yourself how does this belief affects or benefits you. Give your belief a thought and find out the answer. NLP techniques can help you uncover the true purpose of your belief in your life. If you hold the belief that all men are troublesome, think and mould your belief like 'some characterless men are troublesome while all are not the same.'
  8. Proving a wrong belief as wrong: This is one of the most powerful NLP techniques, which help you eradicate the limiting beliefs in your life. You have to prove wrong the wrong beliefs. The only way of doing that is, when you think that you cannot do any thing just go for it. Attempt to achieve that thing. It is natural that you may be unsuccessful in the first attempt but once you do it your false belief that you cannot do it shatters away.
    Belief change exercise:
    a. Replace your negative belief with the positive one.
    b. Analyze your dream and the circumstances in which you generated that belief.
    c. Examine whether it bears a positive or negative impact on you.
    d. If it is negative one, try out the most possible ways that you can find to replace it with the positive one.
This is most easy, simple yet powerful NLP technique that you can implement today for your benefit. It can help you eliminate the limiting beliefs and gain excellence in your task.
